CRISPY FRIED ONION RINGS

INGREDIENTS:
· 3 large yellow or red onion sliced into rings
· 1 cup of All Purpose Flour
· ½ Tablespoon of Baking Powder
· 1 Egg
· 1 teaspoon of ground pepper
· 1 teaspoon of table salt
· ½ cup bread crumbs to coat
· Cooking oil enough to deep fry the onions
PREPARATIONS:



· Clean the onions and cut into rings
· Carefully separate the rings from each other
· Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and pepper in a medium bowl
· Coat each onion ring in the flour mixture and set aside
· Combine the remaining flour mixture that you coated the onions with the egg and a bit of salt and beat well until no lumps remain
· Coat each onion ring in the above mixture and shake away the excess flour
· Coat each onion ring in breadcrumbs
Fry the onion rings in a pot with enough oil and wait until golden brown.

After frying transfer the fried onions into a large platter with kitchen paper under to drain the excess oil.
